Heart of England: Seven Suitors for Seven Sisters

A Match For Magnolia

Womanizer. Adulterer. Divorced. That is Lord Davis Rathbone’s history. His future? He vows to never marry or fall in love again—repeating his past mistakes, not worth the risk. Then he meets Magnolia Blume, and filling his days penning poetry no longer seems an alternative to channel his pent-up feelings. With God’s help, surely he can keep this rare treasure and make it work this time?

Magnolia Blume’s life is perfect, except for one thing—Davis Rathbone is everything she’s not looking for in a man. He doesn’t strike her as one prone to the sentiments of family, or religion, but her judgments could be premature.

Magnolia must look beyond the gossip, Davis’s past, and their differences to find her perfect match, because, although flawed, Davis has one redeeming quality—he is a man after God’s own heart.

“Lovely contemporary story about a talented jeweler who falls in love with a nobleman with a past. He became a Christian three years ago and mended his ways, intending to stay away from romance and stay close to the Lord. When he met Magnolia Blume, he fell in love almost instantly. Unfortunately, his past got in the way of their future together. I really liked the way this author handled the idea of grace and trust and what it means to be a ‘new creature in Christ’. The hero was humble and kind, truly new. The heroine had to reconcile with the fact of his past and the truth of his present. It’s too easy to judge others. I liked the fact that this story makes you think about how you might handle the way you view people. I’d like to read more by this author.”

“I have read this author’s books in other collections and read this one as part of the Love Blossoms collection. I think this has been my favorite. I thought to begin with this was historical, but was pleasantly surprised when it wasn’t. A clear picture of how love can triumph through prayer, understanding and communication. I really hope the other books in this series are about the other sisters and would love to know more about the parents as well. Becoming a big fan of this author.”
